Alfred R. Miller, 79 of Marcus Hook died February 27, 2010 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media. Born in Chester, where he was reared and educated, he attended Chester High School graduating with the class of 1946.
He worked for the former Phoenix Steel Corp. in Claymont, DE for ten years and then with the F.M.C. Corp. in Marcus Hook also for ten years and finally with Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Lima from where he retired, all in their maintenance departments. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He also attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Eddystone. He will be missed by cat, Blackie Husband of the late Helen Wyatt. He is survived by one son Michael Miller of Marcus Hook and Three grandchildren. His funeral service will be 2pm Wednesday at the Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood where there will be calling from 1 to 2 pm. Burial will Follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
