John (Jack) MacMorran, 89, of Boothwyn died Tuesday April 18th, 2017 after a long illness. He was born to John and Gertrude Corcoran MacMorran in Chester, where he was reared and educated. He graduated from St. James High school class of 1945. He was the former Postmaster at the Philadelphia International Airport for over 30 years before his retirement in 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII.

Mary Green Ward, 90, passed peacefully on April 15th, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Trainer, PA. She attended Holy Saviour Elementary School, then went on to Ridley Park High School. Mary left school to begin working at Baldwin Locomotive Works. She eventually earned her GED at age 69.

After working as a secretary at Baldwin, Mary spent many years as a homemaker. Later, Mary went to work at Widener University Registrarís office until her retirement in 1999. Mary found joy in babysitting, visiting and vacationing with her children and grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed sewing and crocheting for her family.
