Raymond Laskowski, 82, of Boothwyn died Sunday, May 28th, 2017 at Shipley Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Golub, Poland and came to the US when he was 18 years old. He was a resident of Aston for 32 years and Millsboro, DE for 20 years. He has most recently lived in Boothwyn for the past 2 years.
Raymond worked as a diesel mechanic for Sun Oil until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, eating, and watching soccer. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Irene Schlottau and Edith Gerhardt; brothers, Freddy and Teddy Laskowski. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, M. Hope Oldham Laskowski; Sons, Daniel (Susan) Laskowski and Len (Diane) Laskowski; Brother, Richard Laskowski; sisters, Anita Munce, Christel Polewczak, Luczie Steffan; grandchildren, Justine and Brad Laskowski, and Megan Carney; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Kimberly, Lucas, and Colin.
His funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 1 at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to his viewing from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Contributions in his name can be made to Riddle Hospital or Shipley Manor Nursing Home.
