Elizabeth “Betty” Willard, 91, formerly of Chester Township, passed away on Monday, July 10th, 2017. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Amos and Mary Ellen Monhollan. She was raised and educated in Chester Twp. where she was a graduate of Notre Dame Moylan High School with the class of 1943. Betty was a founding member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Aston, PA. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing cross-stitch. What she enjoyed most, however, was spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, William E. Willard, Sr. (1992); sister, Mary Opal; brothers, Amos “Bud” Monhollan, and James Monhollan; granddaughter, Aimee Willard (1996). She is survived by her sons, William E. Willard, Jr. (Debora), Paul Willard (Jacqueline); grandchildren, Nancy Willard, Timothy Willard, Shannon Willard- Joseph, Sean Willard and Brandon Arcuicci; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Molly and Gavin; niece, Linda Greene; dear friends, Vince Czyzewski and Betty Brock; many other nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 17th at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church 3255 Concord Rd. Aston, Pa. A viewing will be held in the church from 9:30-10:45. Burial will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
