Elizabeth Jane Ellingsworth, 79, of Wilmington DE passed away October 17th at her home. She was born in Upland, Pa to the late Charles L. and Olive M. Campbell. A graduate of Eddystone High School class of 1958. Jane worked for many years as a counselor at Elwyn Inc., where she served as chief shop steward for the SEIU local union. She loved to bowl in her earlier years, and every year looked forward to watching the mummers and was known to embarrass her children publicly by doing “the strut”. She was a ” bleed green” die-hard Eagles fan win or lose. She was an avid gambler and could be found at the slots until the early hours of the morning. She enjoyed summers at the beach with her grandchildren and family. Jane was a strong beautiful woman that will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Dana Ellingsworth; granddaughter, Aubrey Cocker; nephew, Ethan Campbell. She is survived by her loving husband, John Pauling; children, Susan Ellingsworth (Peggy) of Wilmington De. and Dawn Ellingsworth; of Marcus Hook Pa. brother, Charles Campbell; nephew Mackie Campbell of Ontario Canada, niece Lila Kennedy; of Toronto Canada grandchildren, Joseph Cocker, Danielle Tarbutton, Auston Tarbutton, and Olivia J. Hunley.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th at 12:30 pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 11:30-12:30. Burial will be private.
