Well-known businesswoman
Gladys Irene Hamblin Wesolowski, 82, of Bethel, a devoted family woman and well-known businesswoman, died Nov. 16,2011 at home.
Mrs. Wesolowski was born in Detroit, Mich. She was reared and educated in the Gardendale section of Upper Chichester, and attended the former Notre Dame High School in Moylan.
She was a founding member of E&S Auto Parts in Twin Oaks, Upper Chichester.
Her memberships included St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Boothwyn. Also, she was a longtime member of Holy Saviour Church in Linwood, where she was active in the women’s club for many years.
She was a founding member of the “Peppy Ten”, a local group of women who enjoyed traveling together.
She enjoyed gardening. Her greatest joy was her family.
Survivors: Husband, Edward A. Wesolowksi; sons, Edward “Stretch” Wesolowski Jr. of Chapel Hill, N.C., Michael Wesolowski of Ocean City, Md., Robert Wesolowski of Upper Chichester, Daniel Wesolowski of Malvern, David Wesolowski of St. John, Virgin Islands, Walter “Wally” Wesolowski of Fenwick Island, Del., and Chris Wesolowski of Bethel; daughters, Linda Ringle’ of Trenton, N.J., and Mary Piper of Bethel; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Boothwyn.
Visitation: After 6 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood.
Burial: Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Upper Chichester.
