Mabel G. Sweeney (nee Stipe), age 91, of Wilmington DE, died on May 7, 2013. Mabel was born in Chester, Pa, where she was reared and educated. She was a woman who was devoted to her home and family.
Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Sweeney, Jr.; Daughter, Linda Sarzynski and Son, Jeffrey Sweeney. She is survived by her son Edward (Mary Lou) Sweeney III and daughter in law Susan Sweeney; grandchildren Edward Sweeney IV, Kelly Sweeney, Ross (Kristine) Sarzynski, Meghan (William) Harrison, Jaclyn Sweeney, Daniel Sweeney; great-grandchildren, Robert LeFevre, Dylan Sarzynski and Avery Sarzynski.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:45am on Saturday, May 11th at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 10:00am – 10:45am at the church. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
