Mildred DiMaio – 6/8/2019

Mildred “Millie” DiMaio (Profitt), 89, of Linwood, Pa passed away peacefully on June 8, 2019 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Lima, PA. Born in Georgetown, De and raised in Trainer, Pa, she was the daughter of Ernest and Martha (Douglas) Profitt. She was one of 14 brothers and sisters. Brothers George, Fran, Ernest, Fred, Howard, Ronald, Jim, Phil, Bob and Tom, sisters Ruth (Pursh), Ann (Cano) and Nancy (Walsh). She was married to Paul DiMaio for 55 years before his passing in 2002. She is also survived by her children, son Daniel of Pennsville, NJ, daughters Cissy of Claymont, De and Donna of Fort Pierce, Fl, son Mark (Susan) of Glen Mills, Pa and predeceased by son Victor DiMaio (Vicky) on Feb 18, 2019. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

She devoted her life to her family. Millie was employed as a Bartender at Tony’s in Linwood, Pa until she retired at the age of 72. She was a member of the American Legion Post 951 of Ogden, Pa. Her favorite pass time was playing bingo with family and friends on Friday nights and listening to Karaoke on Saturday nights at the American Legion. She loved to sew and put her heart into every piece that she created. Millie will be remembered for her love of family and friends and her wonderful sense of humor.

Her funeral service will be held at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market Street, Linwood, Pa on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.

    You are my first and longest Bestie. I practically lived at your house; it was an honor knowing your mom. She put up with us.. lol
    She was a strong and beautiful lady with the best laugh, I still hear her laugh..

    Your mom will be missed. She brought sunshine into everyone that crossed her path. I was lucky to have known her especially from bingo and Karaoke.
