Muriel Elizabeth Heckler Feather Diggs – 6/23/2021

In loving memory of Betty Diggs who left us on June 23, 2021 at the age of 77 at her home in Wilmington, DE.  She was born in North Philadelphia on October 25, 1943.  She attended Dobbins High School.  Betty was a hard worker and held several jobs throughout the years that she enjoyed.  She was quick to make friends and loved her family and her husband Larry who she married on July 18th 1992.  Betty loved to have a good time.  She enjoyed bowling at the Conchester Lanes, shooting pool at the Star Bar and going to country music concerts.  She was also a huge fan of her home sports teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies.  Her passion was crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Muriel and Isiah Heckler; brother, Sonny Heckler; son, Rick Feather;  1st husband, Richard Feather.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Diggs; daughter, Peggy Chubbs; sons, Bob Feather and Bill Feather; step-children, Derrick Diggs, Bruce Diggs, Larry Diggs, Jr., Lonnie Diggs, Lamont Diggs, and Latoya Diggs; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 29th at 7pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA.  Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 6-7pm.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate

    My thoughts of you during my childhood, a good aunt and friend of my mother.
    I can remember when I was a very young girl, I had a fever and very sick. You took care of me at your house and bought me a toy.
    During my adult years, I remember you being funny and enjoying life.
    Thank you for being part of my life and rest in peace.

  3. Larry, Peggy and the rest of the family my prayers are with you all.will miss her tremendously. She was such and an awesome person and i always said the love she and larry had was so deep. Heng in there. Her wings were ready even though i know your hearts were not. Larry Peggy love ya both please if you need anything you know where im at. Amie ( star bar)
