Patti-Ann Mattera – 1/29/2023

Patti-Ann Mattera, 63, of Twin Oaks passed away on January 29th at her home. She was born in Chester and raised in the Twin Oaks section of Upper Chichester. Patti-Ann was a graduate of Padua Academy with the class of 1978 and then went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester State College. She worked as a Case Manager and QIDP for the Elwyn Institute for 36 years. Patti-Ann loved music and enjoyed following local bands.  She especially loved the Hooters, Jellyroll, and The FM Band. Patti-Ann also loved following Philadelphia sports and was an avid Sixers fan.

She was predeceased by her father, James Mattera; nephew, Christopher Mattera.  She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Mattera; brothers, James Mattera (Betsy) and Michael Mattera (Christina); sister, Tracy Allvord (Robert); nieces and nephews, Michelle Mattera, Jake Mattera, Amanda McCloskey, Matthew Mattera, Evan Allvord, Natalie Allvord.

Patti-Ann’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa. Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 10-11am. Burial will be private.

  1. Patti Ann was apart of my family for over 13 years as she was my sons Case Manager at Elwynn. Patti Ann came to my home and promised me she would make sure my son was cared for and she kept her promise! We loved Patti Ann and my heart goes out to her family and friends and especially the Staff and Residents of Elwynn! Patti Ann the Kenner-Vann Family will miss you something terrible, our Friday FaceTime and laughs and talks about our Sports Teams. May you Rest in Sweet Peace,

  2. I was so saddened to hear of Patti Ann’s unexpected passing. We were colleagues at Elwyn for years and she had such a kind and generous spirit. Thinking of her family and friends and keeping all in my prayers.

It was nice to have gotten to know and work with her over these past 30 years. You were truly the most giving, kindhearted person to everyone and I will miss you always. I have no doubt that I will see you again in heaven and we can pick up where we left off, having lunch, going to a movie, my treat. Love you Patti-Ann.

I was devastated in getting the news of Patty pass Patty used to come to see his perform Don’t call me Francis for years and years I was in the band for 9 years and she came out to most of all our gigs last time I saw Patty she came out to my Santana tribute gig at the Palos restaurant I can’t believe she’s gone All I can say is using amazing person Loved her dearly May she rest in peace.
