Pearl V. Fanelli Zebleckes, 90, formerly of Twin Oaks passed away on Friday, January 17th at New Castle Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Hazelton, PA where she was reared and educated before moving to Linwood, then ultimately to Twin Oaks in Upper Chichester for 50 years. Pearl was a woman who devoted her life to her home and family. She was a long-time active member of both Holy Saviour and St. John Fisher Churches. She was also a lifetime member of the Boothwyn Fire House Women’s Auxiliary. Pearl spent many years working the voting polls in Upper Chichester, and was a long-time member of the Upper Chichester Senior Citizens club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Zebleckes, Sr. who died in 1991; daughter, Maryann Zebleckes; son, Anthony Zebleckes; siblings, Tessie, Carmella, Rose, Vince, and Grace.
She is survived by her son, Joseph A. Zebleckes, Jr. (Janet); daughter, Lisa Smith (Joe); grandchildren, Kelly (Greg), Bryan (Brittany), Patrick (Veronica), Christopher, and Jessica; great-grandsons, Ryan, Henry, and Carter.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 20th at 11am at Holy Rosary Church 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11am in church. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.

Your Mom was a wonderful woman. She was known for her kindness and her helping hands. Pearl also made the best sauerkraut which she provided at all our carnivals. She was proud of her children. Pearl will be missed.

pearl was a great lady when I was a parishioner at st john fisher church she was always there when there was a event going on you would find her in the kitchen preparing the coffee and anything else that needed to be done she always had a smile on her face she would always give you a big hello she will be missed
