Rose Marie Zawaski Verrecchia, 54, of Brookhaven passed away on Thursday, December 17th at her home. She was born and raised in Chester and later went on to graduate from Cardinal O’Hara High School. Rose was a veteran of the US Navy with whom she served for four years. She worked as an IT professional with Siemens and United Health Care.
Rose enjoyed fishing, Marvel movies, taking trips to the beach and laughing with family and friends. She was especially close with her sisters and loved them greatly. Rose also loved her children-they were the light of her life. Rose battled addiction throughout her entire adult life. She was an avid participant in different AA groups across the tri-county area. Through these programs she received a lot of support in her struggles. She also gave a lot of support to those who were battling the same disease.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mary T. and Raymond J. Zawaski; brothers, John Zawaski and George Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Verrecchia; son, Andrew Verrecchia; sisters, Christine DiPaolo, Augustine Zawaski, Annie Swank, and Patricia Martin; brother, Steve Thomas.
Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, December 30th from 1-2pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm. Burial will be private.

Rose was my second mom we had such an amazing relationship I wish I could have helped her but I know she is at peace now I am going to miss her laugh tremendously love you rose!
