Terrance “Terri” Cipriano – 12/29/2017

December 31st, 2017

Terrance ‘Terri’ L. Cipriano, 65, of Wilmington, DE passed away on December 29th in her home.  She was a strong and driven woman with an impressive work ethic who exceled at providing for her family.

Terri was born on May 9, 1952 in Chester, PA to the late Barclay Howett, Jr. and Virginia Dixon Howett Ray.  She was the youngest of 5 children and loved playing music. She was a drum major in school and a talented pianist.

Terri studied business at Keystone Business College and worked in the accounting department for Huntsman, formerly ICI Polyurethanes.  She later managed SAP projects at Accenture for 10 years until her retirement in 2016.  She enjoyed painting, sewing, and quilting and she was truly a gifted artist.   What she enjoyed most, however, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

If you didn’t find Terri with her grandchildren or at her sister’s pool, you could find her camping, gardening or creating a plan to add a splash of color to just about anything in her house.  Her birthday frequently fell on Mother’s Day, which was fitting because of the wonderful mother she was to her children.

She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Joseph B. Cipriano; brothers, Barclay H. Howett, III and Ted A. Howett.  She is survived by her children, Pamela Webster (Drew) and Joe Cipriano (Tiffany); step-daughter Tracy Cipriano; brother, L. Ronald Howett (Kathy); sister, Deborah A. Caffo (Anthony); grandchildren Ethan, Owen and Blaze; nieces and nephews Renee Holt, Melanie Keenan (Steve), Jessica Norris, Samantha Whaley (Camuel and children Samarita and CJ), Olivia Kluge and Benjamin Holt.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6 at 12pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home at 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 11am-12pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association.

  8. Terri was my supervisor at ICI Polyurethanes for roughly 4 years. I always thought of her as a friend with a child-like personality. She made going to work fun! She always had a zest for learning new things which helped her tremendously in her career. The world is a darker place without her.
