Victoria E. “Vicky” Sniechowski, 91 of Glen Mills, Pa. formerly of Chester died Saturday September 19, 2009 at Brinton Manor nursing home. She was born in Leiperville, Pa. to Anthony and Mary Gniewosz Sniechowski before moving to Chester where she spent most of her life. She has been a resident of Brinton Manor since 1999.
Vicky was a hairdresser and also worked for the American Viscose Corp. in Marcus Hook as a cone winder for a short time but most of her life was spent as a homemaker devoted to her home and family. A longtime member of the former St. Hedwig’s catholic church in Chester where she active with the Church’s sodality and grammar school.
She is survived by two brothers Casimere Sniechowski of Boothwyn and Raymond Sniechowski of Beckett, NJ. One sister Helen Macknis of Linwood. Many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brothers Joseph, John and Edward Sniechowski and sisters Agatha and Constance Sniechowski and Frances McClaskey.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Friday at the St. Hedwig’s Chapel 4th and Hayes Sts. Chester where there will be calling from 9 to 10 at the church. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery Linwood.
