Christine O. Hickey, 93, formerly of Linwood, PA passed away on October 1, 2023. She was born and raised in Linwood and graduated from Chichester High School with the class of 1948. After graduating high school, Christine went to work for the Viscose Corporation in Marcus Hook and later for Robertson’s Fuel Oil until her retirement. She was an active member of the Oxford Senior Citizens group. She enjoyed shopping and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed spending time at her summer vacation home on the Elk River in Maryland. More than anything, Christine was a people person who loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, William C. Hickey, Sr.; sister, Virginia Truitt; parents, Ermon and Nettie Obier.
She is survived by her son, William C. Hickey, Jr. (Barbara); grandson, Jeffrey Hickey (Tracy Murphy).
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 11am. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10-11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. inurnment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
