Geraldine “Jeri” M. Quigley, 80, a cherished member of the community, passed away on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. Born and educated in Chester, Geraldine touched many lives through her various roles over the years.

Geraldine dedicated herself to the safety of others as a crossing guard in Lower Chichester for many years. She also brought smiles to patrons as a bartender at Christie’s Bar and in Moon’s deli, eventually owning her own sandwich shop. Her commitment to community extended to her involvement in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Linwood Fire Company and her service as a former judge of elections in Lower Chichester.

In her leisure time, Geraldine found joy in needlepoint, reading, listening to country music, and collecting Native American artifacts. Above all, she cherished moments spent with her beloved family.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Ruth Jester, her husband, Joseph Quigley, her brother, Jim Jester, and her aunt, Mildred Strockbine. She is survived by her children, Wendy Franck, Gregg Leskovics (Kumi), Dawn Bunch (Mike), and Kim Imburgia (Mike); her brother, Olin Pete Jester (Linda); and her sister, Barbara Bolinsky (Arthur). Geraldine leaves behind 10 grandchildren, including Colleen Fletcher, who lovingly cared for her during the last 7 months of her life, along with 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Geraldine’s life will be held on Friday, April 12th, at 2pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing from 1-2pm. Burial will follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.

Geraldine will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love of her family and friends.
