Patricia A. Toth – 3/19/2022

March 21st, 2022

Patricia Ann Toth of Claymont, DE was born to Mary and Earl H. Stant on June 26, 1936 in Chester, PA.  She died peacefully on March 19, 2022. She was adored by her family and surrounded with love.

Patricia attended school at the Immaculate Heart of Mary where she later would be married. She was the May Queen and chosen to cut the ribbon for the opening of the Boothwyn Bridge.

She married Joseph Toth on June 25, 1955.  They raised their children in Linwood, PA with summers spent at the Indian River. Pat and Joe were snow birds and spent their winters in Bradenton, Florida.

Ask anyone who has ever met her, she was a special woman. She put her family above everything. She enjoyed spending time soaking up the sun, playing at the casinos, and having a totti. She spoiled her family with love, gifts and her famous meatballs! She was always laughing and full of surprises.

Pat, Aunt Patty, Mom, Mom-mom, GG, is a one- of- a- kind treasure. Her family will carry on her legacy through many traditions and lessons she has taught them including… “Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think!”

Along with her parents, she was preceded by her brothers Earl, Dave & Joseph Stant; her husband Joseph Toth; her son, Joseph Toth Jr., and grandchildren Michael and Stacey Doubet.

She is survived by her children, JoAnn Doubet (John), Sandra Smith (Terrence), Sue Maxey (Bob); grandchildren, Chrissie Ollinger (Chip), Sharon O’Connor (Alejandro), Susan Zunino (Jeremy), and Joe Toth; great-grandchildren, Shane, Caden, and Quinn Olinger, Kaylee Toth, Angelo, Theo, and Vivian Zunino, Spencer Doubet (Bailey); great-great-grandchild, Callum Dubet; bother, Bobby (Robert) Stant.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28th at 1:30pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA.  Friends and family are invited for visitation from 12-1:30. Burial will be private.

  1. I’ll always remember the good times our families shared down at the beaches. Pat and Joe and my parents became close friends…I always thought of them as family. I’m happy that Patty isn’t suffering and that she is now with those that she love who passed before her. I find comfort in knowing that we have another angel watching over us.
