Gertrude J. Berry – 4/14/2019

Gertrude “Trudy” Berry, 61, of Chester passed away on April 14th at Lankenau Hospital.  She was born in Chester to the late James and Ruth Emerson.  Trudy was employed as a security guard at Neumann University for many years.  What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Berry; son, Jimmy Emerson; sister, Kathy Jones; grandchildren, Isis and Amya Emerson; step-children, Jesse Gardner, Theresa Fletcher, and Shanika Gardner.

Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Friday, April 19th from 12-2pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa.  Burial will be held on Monday, April 22nd at 12pm at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall, Pa.

  3. Trudy was a beautiful soul. She always had a smile on her face and brightened everyone’s day at Neumann. She will be truly missed.

  5. Trudy was an amazing person. She had the best personality. She was always there for all her students at Neumann. And she always shared with us stories about her wonderful husband and beautiful grandchildren. She will truly be missed. She was always the light in the darkness.
