Jamie Nevin, 17, of Upper Chichester passed away on Tuesday, August 7th surrounded by family and friends.  She was born in Upland to James Nevin, Sr. and Jennifer Yingling.  Jamie was an honor student entering her senior year at Chichester High School.  She was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Phillies.  She enjoyed playing pro washers and listening to country music.  Jamie was also a lover of animals.

She was predeceased by her father, James Nevin, Sr.; Uncle, Jeffrey Yingling; maternal grandmother, Barbara Yingling. She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Yingling; brother, James Nevin, Jr.; Sister, Jessica Nevin; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Eleanor Yingling; paternal grandmother, Margaret Nevin; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 14th at 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, Pa.  Friends and family are invited to call from 9:15 – 10:15 in church.  Burial will be private.  Contributions in Jamie’s memory can be made to the Nemours/ Alfred I. duPontHospital for Children.  Contributions should be mailed to:

  1. Happy New Year. I miss you. I have a Mass scheduled for you and Jeff on 1/21/ and 11/20. I talk to your Mother on occasion. She and Jimmie and Jessica seem to be doing well. God bless you and I know he is looking out for you. Talk to you again. Hope you and your uncle, Jeff, are together with God.

  2. I wanted you to know I noted your birthday. You may not have been here to celebrate but I said a prayer for you. I asked for another memorial mass in your honor and I am waiting for the priest to let me know. Hope you are ok. Say hi to Jeff for me. My God keep you in this hand and take care of you.   3. Hi Jamie. It is Pop. I miss you and think of you often. I spoke to your mom yesterday and she is doing ok. They moved to Delaware and have a large piece of ground. Your bother is cutting the lawn with a riding mower. How about that. I left a message on your uncle, Jeff, memorial. I had a mass said for your welfare and will have another one said, hopefully this month. It depends on availability of the church. God bless you and I love you. I will keep in touch.

  7. Jamie was an amazing cousin to me. She was also like my best friend. I remember all the days we had together. I still cannot stand the fact that she is gone. I wish that I could’ve seen her before I had to prepare for the worst. Rest in Peace Jamie and your family will always love you❤❤❤

Hey Jamie your birthday is in like a week and it’s killing me that your not going to be here I celebrate your big 18 with us like you wanted to😔 breaks my heart over and over again knowing we gained an angel but lost one of favorite family members😔 i can’t stop thinking about our sleepovers, movie nights, karaoke, I’ve been stuck in my head bc I know I had drifted off this past year due to personal issues and I wish I never did‼️ I regret it I regret choosing personal issues over family bc so fast we lose someone in a blink of an eye😔 happy almost birthday pretty girl I love and miss you always and forever

  12. Jamie was such a sweet and loving girl, I am blessed to have known her and have memories to share of her. My sincere condolences go out to her family.
