Warren L. Speakman, 77, of Upper Chichester passed away on Tuesday, June 1st at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born in Chester to the late Warren and Ruth Speakman. After graduating from Eddystone High School, Warren went on to graduate from the Williamson Trade School where he studied interior decorating. He was a merchant marine for the Sun oil Company for eight years and then later retired from Witco Chemical Company in Trainer after 25 years of service. Warren enjoyed supporting his church and did so with his signature warm smile. Warren is survived by his brother, Ralph Speakman(Evelyn) and many friends and community members who considered him to be like family.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 11am at Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Marcus Hook. Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 10-11am in church. Burial will be private.
